Background:
The Bingo and Rolly voices were first introduced in 2010 as part of Microsoft’s “StreetPass Mii Plaza” feature for the Nintendo 3DS. The StreetPass Mii Plaza allowed players to exchange Mii characters with other players who had the game installed.
Players could also use the features to battle each other in mini-games.
In late 2013, Microsoft discontinued the StreetPass Mii Plaza feature. In early 2014, Microsoft announced that it was discontinuing the Rolly voice feature as well.
Reasons for Change:
There are several reasons why Microsoft discontinued the Bingo and Rolly voices. For one, they were expensive to produce and maintain.
Additionally, they were not very popular with players. Lastly, they did not fit well with the new design direction that Microsoft was taking with its Xbox 360 console.
