Bingo Pajama is a five-piece indie rock band from Los Angeles, California. The band consists of vocalist/guitarist Jonathan Schenker, drummer/vocalist Dustin Kensrue, guitarist Josh Rand, and bassist Alex Kapranos.
Formed in 2006, Bingo Pajama released their debut album “Believe” in 2009. The album was well received by critics and the band toured extensively in support of it. Their follow-up album “Songs from the Black Hole” was released in 2013 and also received positive reviews.
In 2017, the band released their third album “The Sunset Tree”. The album was again well received by critics and reached number 9 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. .
In 2018, the band released their fourth album “4”. The album was once again well received by critics and reached number 6 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart.
The band has also toured extensively in support of it.
Bingo Pajama has drawn comparisons to bands like Radiohead and Fleet Foxes. They are known for their instrumentally complex soundscapes and atmospheric lyrics which often explore metaphysical themes.
