In Bingo Bango Bongo, players are randomly dealt cards, with each player either receiving a card with a number or a letter on it, and must then place the corresponding number or letter on the bingo card in front of them. The first player to fill their card with all numbers or all letters, respectively, wins the game.
While there are variations of Bingo Bango Bongo across jurisdictions, the most common game involves players drawing cards from a deck and placing them face down on the table. Once all players have placed their cards, the player to the left of the dealer flips over one card from the deck – this becomes the new trump card for that round.
Trumps can be any number (1-10), but must be played in pairs (2-7).
Once a trump has been played, all other cards become wild and can be used to either make bingo squares or complete other combinations that may award points. Players can also choose to discard any number of cards to decrease their hand size to three or less (this is known as “going bust”), but must then draw replacements from the deck in order to continue playing.
The first player to fill their hand with five wild cards – either by playing twos and threes or by discarding multiple cards – wins the game.
