When Did People Start Bingo?

People have been playing variations of bingo for centuries. The earliest form of bingo was known as “The Chinese Game of Chance.” Bingo was used as a gambling game in China as early as the 13th century AD.

In the 16th century, Portuguese sailors brought bingo to Europe. Bingo quickly spread to other parts of the world and became popular in many countries.

The modern version of bingo was created in the early 20th century by Louis DeBernard de Fontenay and Dr. John E. Hartley.

DeBernard de Fontenay created a game called “Patience” which involved drawing cards to win prizes. Hartley, who was working at a psychiatric hospital in England, created a game called “Number Bingo” which involved numbers on cards.

Bingo first became popular in America during the 1930s. It quickly became popular throughout the world and is now enjoyed by millions of people worldwide.

In recent years, there has been an increase in online bingo games, which allow players to participate from anywhere in the world.
