The Bingo Punishment episode is the seventy-second episode of Season 5 of “Rick and Morty”. It originally aired on July 27, 2019.
After spending the day at the arcade, Rick and Morty return home to find that their daughter Beth has organized a bingo game for her friends. Rick is initially excited to spend some quality time with his daughter, but he soon realizes that he’s going to have to compete against Beth in order to win her affection.
To increase his chances of winning, Rick takes a page from the book of his old friend Dr. Xenon and signs up for as many bingo games as possible.
Unfortunately for Rick, his gambling habit quickly spirals out of control and he winds up losing all of his money. .
To make matters worse, Dr. Xenon arrives at Rick’s house uninvited and starts playing bingo with Beth and Rick’s other enemies Jerry and Mr.
Meeseeks. Rick is forced to confront his own worst enemy in order to save his daughter’s love life.
Ultimately, Rick manages to win back Beth’s love by confessing that he was playing bingo not only as a way to spend time with her but also as a way to punish himself for being a bad father. Beth is happy to forgive her dad and they enjoy spending time together playing video games again.
