In the book, “The Lord of the Rings”, by J.R. Tolkien, the character, Frodo Baggins, goes on a journey to destroy a powerful magical ring.
Along the way, Frodo meets many interesting characters including Bilbo Baggins, Gandalf the White, and Aragorn the Ranger. However, one of the most interesting characters is Gollum.
Gollum is a strange creature who was originally named Bingo by Bilbo Baggins. Bilbo initially took pity on Gollum and gave him a name that sounded like a good luck charm.
However, over time Gollum became obsessed with the ring and began to mistreat Bilbo. Eventually, Bilbo had to put an end to Gollum’s madness by killing him.
It is interesting to wonder if Frodo’s original name was Bingo. After all, Bilbo originally gave him that name because he thought it sounded like a good luck charm. If this is true, it would suggest that Gollum was right about one thing – the ring was indeed powerful!.
