In the small town of Bingo, Vermont, everyone knows each other – and their names. The local grocery store, the post office, and even the gas station are all run by the same family for generations.
And everyone in Bingo knows all of the farmers’ names.
But when the family that runs the gas station started having puppies, they couldn’t find a name for one of them that fit everyone in the town. So they decided to put a “Bingo” sign in the window and call him Bingo.
Everyone in Bingo started calling him Bingo, and eventually he became known as Bingo the Dog. But even though he’s known as Bingo, he’s still just a regular old dog.
He doesn’t have a special name like “Bingo” or “the Dog”.
