Ho-Chunk Bingo is a Native American-owned and operated bingo hall in Wausau, Wisconsin. It was founded in 1978 and is one of the oldest bingo halls in the state.
The hall has six card tables and is open from 12pm-12am daily. It offers traditional bingo games, as well as special events, such as a casino night and a Thanksgiving feast.
Ho-Chunk Bingo also offers social activities, such as an annual St. Patrick’s Day party. .
The hall has been in the hands of the Ho-Chunk Nation since 1978, when it was founded by the late Milton “Smokey” Hopper. Smokey was a prominent leader in the Ho-Chunk Nation and served as the first chairman of the tribe’s gaming commission.
Ho-Chunk Bingo is one of only a few Native American-owned and operated businesses in Wisconsin. It is an important part of the community and supports local businesses and charities.
The hall has a long history of supporting local events and charities, including its annual St Patrick’s Day party which raises money for local children’s charities.
