Gold Coast Bingo is held at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre on the first and third Friday of every month. Doors open at 7pm, and the bingo session runs until 11pm.
The cost of admission is $8 for adults, and $6 for seniors, students, and children. There are also special rates for groUPS of 10 or more.
Players can buy tickets in advance online, or at the door. The maximum bet per player is $10.
Bingo cards cost $1 each, and players can purchase up to a maximum of 100 cards. Players must place their bets in cash before playing, and they are not allowed to use tickets or credit cards.
There are multiple games that are played during Gold Coast Bingo: traditional bingo, instant bingo, 50/50 bingo, progressive jackpot bingo, and super jackpot bingo. Players must choose a game before playing, and they cannot switch games during the course of the session.
Each game has its own set of rules, which players must follow in order to win prizes. The traditional bingo game has five rows and 25 numbers from 1 to 50. Players must mark off all of the numbers on their card as they appear on the board. If a number is already marked by another player, that number cannot be marked again until it has been retired for at least one full game cycle (i.e., one row of numbers has been completed). Players who pick the number 21 (which appears twice on a standard 52-card deck) are automatically disqualified from the game.
Instant bingo is similar to traditional bingo, but all of the squares on the board are filled with randomly selected numbers instead of actual squares. Players must pick up their card and place it under one of the squares on the board in order to indicate their choice. If a square already contains a card, that card cannot be placed there again until after all other players have made their selections. Progressive jackpot bingo is similar to instant bingo, but instead of having just one square filled with randomly selected numbers, there are several squares that get filled as different amounts of money get won during play. Super jackpot bingo is similar to progressive jackpot bingo except that there are several different types of prizes available (including cars, vacations, cash prizes), and the overall prize pool gets bigger as play progresses.
The 50/50 bingo game has two rows and 25 numbers from 1 to 25. Players must mark off either half (or both halves) of their card as they appear on the board; if they select a number that appears twice on their card, they must mark off both halves of that number instead.
The Progressive Jackpot Bingo game has five rows and 25 numbers from 1 to 50; like regular progressive jackpot bingo, each time money is won during play this increases the value of all subsequent prize tickets played in that particular game (up to a certain maximum value). However this particular game also has two additional squares located at either end of the board – one containing 10 prizes totalling $10k apiece (the “Main Jackpot”), and one containing 5 prizes totalling $25k apiece (the “Mega Jackpot”). As play progresses through each round these prizes get larger until either player captures either Main or Mega Jackpots – whichever amount is larger at the end of play wins!.
