Bingo is a traditional card game that originated in China some 2,000 years ago. The modern game of bingo is played with 33 cards, each having a number from 1 to 52. Players draw cards until they have four drawn in a row, at which point they shout bingo. They then pick up the corresponding number of balls from the bingo tray and put them into the corresponding cUPS on the game board.
As players collect balls, they earn points. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins. .
In most countries, bingo is considered a gambling activity and is therefore regulated by law. However, in some countries – such as Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal and Spain – bingo is considered to be a social activity and is therefore not subject to gambling regulations.
This makes it possible for Bingo clubs to be open to anyone who wishes to join them.
