Bingo the dog may have been the farmer’s best friend, but that doesn’t mean he always got a treat. Bingo was originally a stray that was taken in by the farmer and his wife.
The farmer and his wife quickly realized that Bingo was a clever dog and taught him some basic commands. Bingo soon became the farmer’s loyal friend, accompanying him on his daily chores.
One day, the farmer’s wife went out to pick up some eggs and found Bingo lying in front of the chicken coop with three eggs in his mouth! The farmer was so impressed with Bingo’s smarts that he began calling him “Bingo the smart dog.”
Eventually, Bingo began to outsmart the farmers other animals, including their bulldog. The farmers eventually had to give up their bulldog and let Bingo take over as the family pet.
Although Bingo may have been the farmer’s best friend, he wasn’t always given a handout. He learned how to get along with other animals by using his intelligence and skills, which ultimately made him a successful pet.
