Bingo Who’s Rolly?
In 1963, cartoonist Robert Crumb created a series of cartoons called “Bingo Heirs”. The central character is Bingo, a slightly meek and bumbling white rabbit who inherits a fortune from his deceased uncle.
One of Bingo’s first challenges is to find someone to share the wealth with – a process that often leads to hilarious results.
Fast-forward to 2013 and the release of Bingo Who’s Rolly?, an online comic strip written and drawn by Crumb. In the strip, Bingo is once again faced with the challenge of distributing his uncle’s wealth among his friends and family.
This time, he must contend with corrupt government officials, scheming businessmen, and overzealous family members.
Though Bingo Who’s Rolly? shares few similarities with Crumb’s 1963 cartoons, it remains an entertaining and irreverent take on the classic inheritance story. Whether you’re a fan of classic cartoons or new online comics strips, you’ll likely enjoy Bingo Who’s Rolly?.
