Scavenger Bingo is a game that is played with a deck of 52 cards. The object of the game is to fill in a row, column, or diagonal on your bingo card with any number from 1-15.
Bingo is called “scavenger” because you are looking for any number, not just the numbers that are called. The game can be played with any number of players, and it can be adapted to any number of rounds.
The game can be played by two people, or by as many people as want to play. The first player takes the role of Scavenger and starts the game by drawing one card from the deck.
The next player then drAWS a card, and so on until all players have drawn one card. Each player then places their card face down on the table in front of them.
The Scavenger then looks at their card and chooses one number from it to call out. If the number selected is already called out by another player, that player can either choose another number from their card or wait for the next call out. Once the number has been called out, all other players must place a marker next to that number on their card. The Scavenger then flips over their card and looks at the numbers that have been placed next to the numbers that were called out.
If they match up perfectly, they have won a point for each match and continue playing until they lose all their points or they reach 21 points (a full row). If there are any errors in matching up the numbers, those incorrect numbers are removed from the board and play begins again at the beginning of the Scavenger’s turn.
If at any time during play one player has 21 points (a full diagonal) marked off on their bingo card, that player wins the game automatically! There are no other rules associated with winning this way – it’s just as simple as getting a full row of numbers matched up correctly!
